Transplant de păr la bărbați
Since ancient times hair has been symbol of youth, strength and virility; after all what better accessory we have then our own hair? It is said that the virtues and prosperities of a person are concentrated in his hair. For men a well-kept, thick head of hair brings added good looks to an already good face.
The most common cause of hair loss is hereditary; however, there are other various triggers of hair loss. It can be a result of stress or poor lifestyle, some men experience alopecia as a side effect of medical treatments, and some lose hair simply because they try to keep a certain hairstyle that is damaging the hair follicles.
According to the American Hair Loss Association: around 85% of male population experiences hair loss by the age of 50. The same research shows that around 66% of men begin to show noticeable signs of hair loss by the age of 35. Moreover, 25% of men who have hereditary male pattern baldness will start losing their hair before the age of 21.
In most cases, male hair loss will begin with a receding hairline and gradual disappearance of hair from the crown and frontal scalp; the backside of the head usually stays unaffected on the first stages of baldness; however, it can lose volume over time. In rare cases men can experience total hair loss, usually result of alopecia universalis, it causes all body hair to fall, including the eyebrows, eyelashes and pubic hair
Today hair transplant surgery is the 6th most performed cosmetic surgery among men. This procedure involves transferring hair from an area unaffected by hair loss – known as the donor area – to an area where the hair is thinning or is entirely bald. Unfortunately, those who have little or no hair left on their head are not eligible for such procedure.
For those who are eligible we offer two most effective methods for performing hair transplants: Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and Direct Hair Implantation (DHI).
Follicular Unit Extraction
For FUE, the head is shaved completely before the surgery, and then our doctor would extract individual hair follicles directly from patient’s donor area, which typically is the back of the head. Using a microsurgical needle, tiny cuts are then made in the boldness area for the follicular grafts to be carefully placed into. FUE is most favored hair transplant technique by male patients, because it doesn’t leave any obvious scars. To learn more about FUE follow the link below.
Direct Hair Implantation
DHI is the latest approach to hair transplants and is usually favored by those with longer hair. For DHI, we don’t shave the patients head, only the donor area. Individual hair follicles are extracted directly from the patient’s donor area, and then are placed into a mechanical pen-shaped device (known as Choi Pen) which is used to implant the follicles directly, without making any cuts in the scalp beforehand. DHI leaves even less apparent scarring than FUE, and has a slightly faster recovery period. To learn more about DHI follow the link below.
